LONG WAY HOME

Well I stumbled in the darkness
I'm lost and alone
though I said I'd go before us
and show the way back home
is there a light up ahead
I can't hold on very long
forgive me pretty baby but
I always take the long way home.

Money's just something you throw
off the back of a train
I got a head full of lightning
a hat full of rain
I know that I said
I'd never do it again
I love you pretty baby but
I always take the long way home.

I put food on the table
and a roof over our head
but I'd trade it all tomorrow
for the highway instead
watch your back
keep your eyes shut tight
your love's the only thing I've ever known
one thing's for sure pretty baby
I always take the long way home.

You know I love you baby
more than the whole wide world
you are my woman
you know you are my pearl
let's go out past the party lights
where we can finally be alone
come with me and we can
take the long way home...
come with me and we can
take the long way home ...

CUT YOUR HAIR

Darlin' don't you go and cut your hair.
Do you think it's gonna make him change?
"i'm just a boy with a new haircut"
And that's a pretty nice haircut.
Charge it like a puzzle, hit me wearin' muzzles.
Hesitate to die, look around, around, the second drummer's drowned
His telephone is found.

Music scene is crazy, bands start up each and every day.
I saw another one just the other day.
A special new band.
I remember lying,
I don't remember a line,
I don't remember a word,
but I don't care, I care, I really don't care.
Did you see the drummer's hair?

Advertising looks and chops a must:
NO BIG HAIR !!!
Songs mean a lot,
when songs are bought.
And so are you
bitch, rant down to the practice room.
Attention and fame so
career, career, career....

NEON RAINBOW

The city lights, the pretty lights,
they can warm the coldest nights.
All the people going places,
smiling with electric faces.
What they find the glow erases,
and what they loose the glow replaces, and life is love

In a neon rainbow, a neon rainbow.

Moving lines, flashing signs,
blinking faster than the minds.
Leading people with suggestions,
leaving no unanswered questions.
You can live without direction,
and it don't have to be perfection, and life is love

In a neon rainbow, a neon rainbow.

But in the daytime everything changes,
nothing remains the same.
No one smiles anymore,
and no one will open his door
until the night time comes.
And then the ...

City lights, the pretty lights,
they can warm the coldest nights.
All the people going places,
smiling with the electric faces.
What they find the glow erases,
and what they loose the glow replaces, and life is love

In a neon rainbow, a neon rainbow, a neon rainbow.

GROW TILL TALL

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

Grow till tall, they all, in the end, will fall
They, in the end, will turn and fall

You'll know, you'll fall
You'll know, you'll know
You'll know, you'll know
You'll know

You'll... know...

80 WINDOWS

Clusters of people talking secretly to each other.
In a bar you cannot talk openly to anyone you don't already know.
4 year olds, they have got the right idea: they jump the line and hit it on the nose.

When we sit and we get quiet, then we look and see who's home across the way.
There are 80 windows we can see,
it's christmastime and they all have the same tree.
You tell me the patterns you already see,
I wonder if they see us in our bed.

You said you like the one with the father who always eats with his son.
I like the rows of lights because they keep me calm.

I feel far away from you. So what else is new?
The moon is closer to the sun than I am to anyone.

When we sit and we get quiet, then we look and see who's home across the way.

You said you like the one with the father who always eats with his son.
I like the rows of lights because they keep me calm.

I feel far away from you. So what else is new?
The moon is closer to the sun than I am to anyone.

I feel far away from you. So what else is new?
The moon is closer to the sun than I am to anyone.

The moon is closer to the sun than I am to anyone.

The moon is closer to the sun than I am to anyone.

PERFECT DAY

Just a perfect day,
drink sangria in the park,
and then later, when it gets dark,
we go home.
Just a perfect day,
feed animals in the zoo.
Then later, a movie, too,
and then home.

Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
you just keep me hanging on.

Just a perfect day,
problems all left alone,
weekenders on our own.
It's such fun.
Just a perfect day,
you made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else,
someone good.

Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
you just keep me hanging on.

You're going to reap just what you sow,
you're going to reap just what you sow,
you're going to reap just what you sow,
you're going to reap just what you sow...

DOMINIQUE A

(IN MY) SOLITUDE

In my solitude you haunt me
with reveries of days gone by.
In my solitude you taunt me
with memories that never die.

I sit in my chair
filled with despair.
Nobody could be so sad.
With gloom ev'rywhere
I sit and I stare
I know that I'll soon go mad

In my solitude
I'm praying
Dear Lord above
send back my love.

I SHALL BE RELEASED

They say ev’rything can be replaced
Yet ev’ry distance is not near
So I remember ev’ry face
Of ev’ry man who put me here
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

They say ev’ry man needs protection
They say ev’ry man must fall
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Some place so high above this wall
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

Standing next to me in this lonely crowd
Is a man who swears he’s not to blame
All day long I hear him shout so loud
Crying out that he was framed
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now
I shall be released

LISTEN, THE SNOW IS FALLING

Listen, the snow is falling over town,
listen the snow is falling everywhere.
Between Empire State Building
and between Trafalgar Square.
Listen, the snow is falling over town.

Listen, the snow is falling over town,
listen the snow is falling everywhere.
Between your bed and mine,
between your head and my mind.
Listen, the snow is falling over town.

Between Tokyo and Paris,
between London and Dallas,
between your love and mine.
Listen, the snow is falling everywhere.

Snowfling, snowfall, snowfall,
listen, listen,
listen, baby,
listen.

no me consigo defender,

No tienen memoria...
